As well as holding racedays during the year, Tauherenikau is a great venue for weddings. Tauherenikau racecourse is set in over 100 acres of land, there are some beautiful trees and many interesting photographic opportunities.
The Tauherenikau racecourse is situated between Featherston and Greytown on state highway 2, with the impressive Tararua ranges as a backdrop.
There is also some on-site accommodation available, enough for 45 people, although this is labelled budget type accommodation so you might want to take a look before booking your whole wedding party in.
