The Loft wedding reception, wellington
Set in the town of Featherston in the Wairarapa, the loft was originally built in 1868 at Tarureka Estate, the barn is now used for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Loft has retained much of the authenticity of the original barn, with the downstairs set out into a dance, bar and reception areas, the upstairs is used for wedding ceremonies and can also seat up to 120 people for the reception.
Next to the loft and built around the same time is the Tarureka Cottage, offering a large accommodation for 5 people, with three separate bedrooms.
The loft has some nice gardens for the wedding photographs and there are facilities for tennis, croquet or petanque if you have lots of spare time before the wedding.
There is plenty of parking in the car park or along the road outside and the loft is easily reached by train and is ten minutes walk from the featherston station.
