Boudior Photography - pre-wedding glamour
Boudoir photography has always been popular, but is becoming a sexy new trend in pre-wedding photography, especially popular as a wedding day gift from a bride to her groom.
Boudoir photos are usually taken wearing either just a little, or well, nothing at all. As a suggestion you might want to choose the lingerie you intend to wear on the day or at least something from the wedding, whether that’s just earrings, a garter or shoes. There are no rules on what you should wear, just choose things you feel sexy in.
These photo shoots aren’t meant to be X-rated though, more like PG, just like the classic pin-up inspired pictures, or what the photographers normally call 'implied nudes.' That means you're not wearing anything, but you're also not showing off anything either, Carefully placed piece of silk or shots from the back are more the thing you should be thinking of.
It’s possible to do a boudoir shoot on the day of your wedding, but this doesn’t really do the event justice. Much better to book this a few weeks before the wedding when you have more time to relax and enjoy the experience.
A boudoir shoot can take anything between 1 or 2 hours and you can usually either arrange for your make-up and hair to be done as part of the shoot, or do this yourself before the shoot starts.
Most boudoir shoots will be done at the photographers studio, but can also be done at a posh hotel or even your own house, just make sure there is plenty of light from windows.
Costs can vary considerably, depending on whether you want to rent outfits or have professional make-up and hair done.
You want to look like you’re having fun, so don’t forget you can always take a friend along with some champagne, if it makes you relax.
