Using digital photography offers many advantages - it's easy to alter the photographs. For instance, the images can be changed from colour to black-and-white or sepia. Because there is less processing involved with digital photography, you can see your photos sooner after the wedding. And they can be either printed or archived on compact disc and easily distributed to friends across the globe.
Photography planning tip
Before the wedding day, give your photographer a detailed list of the moments that you want him to be sure to capture. Also give the photographer the same schedule of events that you give your caterer and your music provider. Consider assigning someone from the bride's family and someone from the groom's family to point out important guests on the wedding day. The more details you provide for your photographer ahead of time, the nearer the range and variety of your wedding photographs will match.

Although influenced by tradition, favours are not beholden to it. In fact, almost anything can be a favour, as long as it is pleasing, portable, and available in multiples.
Buying a Wedding Dress
Customarily, a bridal shop will require an appointment to ensure that you get expert personal attention. Take someone with you, but not an entourage; too many opinions detract from the most important one - yours. Bring pictures of dresses, but don't worry if you're not sure what you want. A good salesperson will assess your likes and dislikes and advise you on styles to flatter your figure. Also try a few styles that you don't immediately gravitate toward - many a bride has imagined herself in something sleek and modern, only to decide on a traditional ball gown the moment she slips it on. Be honest with the salesperson about your budget; she can keep you from falling in love with something you can't afford. When trying on different styles, lift your arms as you will when you dance, and sit down in the dress; you'll feel more beautiful on your wedding day if you're comfortable.
Veils
Like the gowns they are worn with, veils can be wildly romantic or simple and understated. The main requirement is that the veil suits the dress and the bride, and proportion is the major factor to consider. A short veil looks too informal with a long, elaborate gown; an extremely long veil or a multitude of tiers on a petite bride may be overwhelming. Also, the veil should not compete with the dress for attention: A detailed gown is better complimented by a simple tulle veil than by yards of Chantilly lace. When trying on veils, wear your hair in a style that is similar to the one you will wear on your wedding day - up or down, for example - to get an accurate impression of how you will look. If you'll be wearing an heirloom veil, bring it with you when you go dress shopping.
Florists
The term "florist" can refer to anyone from a neighbourhood-shop owner to a floral designer who oversees every detail of the decorations. Even if you plan to arrange your own flowers (only advisable if you have experience and will have a lot of help), it's wise to consult a knowledgeable wedding florist who can offer advice and provide varieties of flowers not readily available to you.
Bouquets,
Whatever flowers you eventually choose for your bouquet, they should above all complement both you and your gown. Stay away from extremes - an extra-small posy will look out of balance if your gown is composed of yards and yards of bouffant tulle; similarly, an oversize bouquet might overwhelm a petite bride.
Corsages,
Giving the mothers of the bride and groom corsages is a thoughtful, traditional way to acknowledge their special roles. You may offer corsages to other honoured guests as well, such as a grandmother or stepmother. These floral accessories should blend with the other wedding flowers but not necessarily match exactly.
Ceremony Music
Choosing the music for your wedding can seem like a daunting task. To make the prospect less overwhelming, think in terms of audio "snapshots": what kind of music would you like when your guests arrive for the ceremony? What song will best capture your emotions as you walk down the aisle toward you future spouse? What music is most natural in the setting you have chosen, whether it's a garden, a country club, or beach? If you are having a difficult time deciding what style of music best suits your wedding, relax. Weddings offer abundant opportunities to use many different genres.
